We are very excited about having Bill Mathis as our guest conductor this year. This will be his first visit as the conductor of this event. The festival is open to all groups (youth or adult), and you are welcome to bring partial groups, if you desire. The repertoire that will be used in massed ringing is listed below:

It is expected that all the repertoire will be rehearsed prior to attending and that the participants will be ready to "fine-tune" under the direction of Bill Mathis. Our hope is that the Christmas music selected will give your choir a head start for your Advent programs in December.
An optional selection, FESTIVAL PRELUDE ON DEO GRACIAS, is included for those choirs which enjoy a challenge.
In addition to the massed music, each choir is encouraged to perform a solo performance piece during the final concert. (It cannot be a massed ringing piece). To register, complete the "Solo Performance Information" section at the bottom of the registration form.
Historically, the conference tends to fill very rapidly, and several groups are always turned away. Please note that the conference is run under the auspices of The Raleigh Ringers, Inc.
In addition to the Capital Area Handbell Festival Conference, the Raleigh Ringers are organizing and sponsoring an additional workshop, "Playing Musically - A Goal Worth Our Time", on Friday, Nov 5 to give directors and ringers an opportunity to work and ring under the direction of the guest clinician, Bill Mathis. It will be held at the Kerr Scott Building on NC State Fairgrounds beginning at 7:00 pm and ending at 10:00 pm. Registration for the event will begin at 6:00 pm. To register, use one of the Capital Area Handbell Festival Conference Registration Forms.
On behalf of the Capital Area Handbell Festival Conference Committee, we would be delighted to have you and your group attend. If you have any questions, feel free to call David Harris at 1-866-947-7464 or send him an email message (rringer@rr.org).
